“Animal Farm” characters

Napoleon – Is a Dynamic character in the novel “Animal Farm”. Napoleon was a Pig in the novel as he played his role as manipulative and cruel Leader who used fear to gain power of the Animals on the Animal Farm. Napoleon is the Antagonist in the novel because he didn’t listen to what the animals wanted and what believed to be best for their farm. Napoleons actions did change but not in a good way, over course of the novel Napoleon gained more power and became more corrupt because he started slaughtering animals who disobeyed him.

Boxer – Is a Flat Character in the novel “Animal Farm” . Boxer was a horse in the novel as he played his role as a dedicated and hard-working supporter of Napoleon, with his motto being “I will work harder” and “Napoleon is always right” Boxer is neither a protagonist or antagonist in the novel because he isn’t on a bad or good side he is simply supporting what he believes to be best for the farm.

Squealer – Is a Static character in the novel “Animal Farm”. Squealer is a pig in the novel who supports Snowball but believes napoleon is right, he also plays his role as an manipulative reporter who twists the truth to get the animals to follow Napoleon. Squealers actions didn’t change much through out the story as he says “I trust that every animal here appreciates the sacrifice that comrade Napoleon has made in taking this extra labor upon himself.” is showing that he strongly supporting Napoleon. Squealer is neither is neither a protagonist or antagonist in this novel he isn’t a bad guy or good guy because theirs a more manipulative and cruel character in the novel.

Moses – Is a Flat character in the novel “Animal Farm”. Moses is a raven in the novel, Moses only came around every once in a while to tell stories about the after life “The animals hated Moses because he told tales and did no work, but some of them believed in Sugar candy Mountain, and the pigs had to argue very hard to persuade them that there was no such place.”. He is neither an antagonist or protagonist because he has not much effect on the characters and has no leading role as good or bad. Over the course of the novel he told the same stories not much changed.
